Mackenzie Murtagh
Mackenzie Murtagh played on the varsity team at Sacred Heart Cathedral in 2008 and 2009, during which time the team reached the California State Championships both years, earning CCS and NorCal Championship titles along the way. In her senior year, Mackenzie led WCAL in assists, earning her a selection for the all WCAL First Team. She received 1st Team State Championship honors and was named to MaxPreps California All-State Volleyball Team Div III in 2009.
Mackenzie grew up in San Francisco and played multiple seasons for Sláinte. In her last four years with Sláinte, Mackenzie's team placed in the top five in the region, earning three consecutive qualifications for Junior Nationals. More recently, she has coached at Sláinte volleyball clinics and last season served as an assistant coach to the Sláinte 13-1 team.
Mackenzie is currently a student at University of San Francisco, where she plays for the Dons. She will be assisting the Girls 14-2 Forest team as well as working with the Developmental Practice Teams.
