Justin Lam


Justin will be the head coach of Sláinte 14-2 Forest. He is the current head coach for the boys 17-2 Mountain View Volleyball Club Team. He has been the assistant coach for boys Sláinte 18-1 team for two Junior Olympic seasons and has coached at several Sláinte clinics. His coaching history has included coaching two seasons for CCVC 17-2 boys team, and at girls and boys SHCP Summer Camps.

As a senior at SHCP, Justin led the Fightin' Irish boys volleyball program to its first WCAL Co-Championship, its first trip to the Central Coast Section (CCS) title match, and an Academic State Championship. He was named to WCAL’s first team and was San Jose Mercury News CCS Player of the Year. He went on to play for UC Santa Cruz’s (UCSC) Men’s Team.

This past year at UCSC, Justin led the Banana Slugs to a berth in the NCAA Division III men’s National Championship. He led a team-high 81 games played, 3.79 kills per game, and 41 service aces. He was also second on the team with 1.58 digs per game and fourth in total blocks (46) for UCSC. He was one of only eight players named NCAA Division III First-Team All-American, and he was selected to the All-Tournament Team. This past season he was also named Sports Imports/AVCA Men’s Division III National Player of the Week.

Justin graduated last May from UCSC with a BS in business management/economics. He continues his love for the game by competing in leagues and 9-man volleyball.
