Sláinte runs a developmental program for boys and girls called Rising Youth (RY).  Our Rising Youth program offers programs in the Fall and Winter/Spring.  Rising Youth teams are ideal for beginning players who want to develop their skills but who are not ready for the commitment of playing on a Premier or Power team.

Fall Program
  • Starts the weekend after Labor Day to the 3rd week in November.
  • Practices once a week on Sundays.
  • No tournaments
Winter/Spring Programs
  • Start the weekend after New Years to the end of April.
  • Practices once a week on Sundays
  • Offers two options:
    • Practice only team
    • Tournament Team
RY Tournament Teams

This program is only offered in the Spring (January-April).  RY Girls Tournament teams train once a week on Sundays and play in 2-3 non-league tournaments and/or internal tournaments. Teams offered will depend on how many players wish to participate, but in general, RY girls teams are offered in the following age groups:

  • 11 and under
  • 12 and under
  • 13/14 and under

If there are enough boys to create an RY boys tournament team in the spring, they will play in an older age division.

What is the cost to participate in the Rising Youth program?

The cost for the Rising Youth Practice team is $400 (Fall) and $500 (Winter/Spring), which includes gym rental fees, coaches pay, player practice gear and administrative fees. The cost to participate on a Rising Youth tournament team (Winter/Spring only) is $800, which covers gym fees, tournament fees, uniforms and practice gear, coaches pay, and administrative fees.  The fee does not include travel or food.
